I was sent three products to try and I'm ready to tell you about them.
What I Say
Let's start at the beginning with the Skin De-Stress Calming CBD Cleanser, $14.95. The claims are that this creamy formula will lift away impurities without over drying, that the 250 mgs. of CBD will help stressed, sensitive skin feel soothed, calm and leave it feeling ultra moisturized.
This pearly cream cleanser works into a delicate foam that gets my skin nice and clean but it does leave it feeling a little dry and tight if a little less red, after cleansing. While this is a nice cleanser and it's currently living it's best life in my shower, it's nothing all that special and I feel as if the active ingredients aren't on my skin long enough to be of any real advantage. I'm enjoying the bottle I have but I probably wouldn't buy it, myself.
Purified Water, Glycerin (Vegetable Derived), Decyl Glucoside, Stearyl Alcohol (Vegetable Derived), Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Cannabidiol, Cannabis Sativa Seed Oil, Panthenol, Allantoin, Tocopheryl Acetate, Retinyl Palmitate, Ascorbyl Palmitate, Chamomilla Recutita (Matricaria) Flower Extract, Pinus Pinaster Bark Extract, Xanthan Gum, Glyceryl Stearate Citrate (Vegetable Derived), Potassium Sorbate, Phenoxyethanol, Ethylhexylglycerin.
Skin De-Stress Calming CBD Serum, $22.95. I had just used up my other hydrating serums when this bad boy landed on my doorstep. With it's skin adoring ingredients and 500 mgs. of CBD, this serum is just the thing to help ramp up the hydrating power of my chosen moisturizer while it calms, soothes, makes my skin feel a little firmer and look and feel less red and stressed. The lightweight, lotion-y formula drops into my skin, it doesn't pill or interfere with my moisturizer or makeup. If you are oily or combo, this serum may serve as a sole source of moisture for you. I like this serum a lot and I'm planning to buy it, when this bottle runs dry.
Purified Water, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Glycerin, Cetyl Alcohol, Cannabidiol Isolate, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Macadamia Ternifolia Seed Oil, Glyceryl Stearate Citrate, Cannabis Sativa Seed Oil, Panthenol, Allantoin, Tocopheryl Acetate, Retinyl Palmitate, Ascorbyl Palmitate, Chamomilla Recutita (Matricaria) Flower Extract, Xanthan Gum, Dimethicone, Glyceryl Stearate, Coco-Caprylate, Cetearyl Glucoside, Potassium Cetyl Phosphate, Phenoxyethanol, Ethylhexylglycerin.
Skin De-Stress Calming CBD Moisturizer, $21.50. *sigh I'm enjoying an interesting relationship with this moisturizer. It hydrates, plumps and yes, courtesy of the 500 mgs. of CBD, soothes and calms my complexion, especially when I combine it with the Skin De-Stress Calming CBD Serum. This cream easily passed my 24 Hour Wear Test. However, it tends to pill up, after it's been on my face for a while and don't I dare use it under makeup because it will pill that off, as well. I only apply this moisturizer if I know that I'm not going to wear makeup or at night so the pilling, while not my favorite thing in the world isn't a real problem. I would probably buy this, again because it is hydrating, even for my uber dry skin and it really does simmer it down, keeping the redness at bay. The photo below shows how rich and creamy this moisturizer is. I didn't bother to "swatch" the cleanser or serum, we all know what those type of products look like.
Yes, I took this photo after I had started using this cream. I've decided that I'm no longer all that wild about only showing brand new, untouched products on this blog so get ready to see shots of new things and those I've already dug into.
Purified Water, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Stearic Acid, Cetyl Alcohol, Glyceryl Stearate Citrate, Glycerin, Cannabidiol, Cannabis Sativa Seed Oil, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Panthenol, Allantoin, Tocopheryl Acetate, Retinyl Palmitate, Ascorbyl Palmitate, Chamomilla Recutita (Matricaria) Flower Extract, Pinus Pinaster Bark Extract, Xanthan Gum, Dimethicone, Glyceryl Stearate, Coco-Caprylate, Cetearyl Glucoside, Sodium Hydroxide, Potassium Sorbate, Phenoxyethanol, Ethylhexylglycerin.
The Wrap Up and Where to Buy
All three of these products have a natural, slightly earthy scent that doesn't last long after application. Call me crazy, but I feel as if I detect the barest, tiniest hint of "dank" off in the distance when I'm using this skin care. I don't know, maybe I'm imagining things. That isn't outside the realm of possibility. The serum and cream are completely SPF free so be sure to apply your favorite sunscreen before you venture into the great outdoors.
Overall, I think that the Derma-E Skin De-Stress Skin Care Line is a good one and if you are curious about the role that CBD can help play in your skin care routine, I recommend that you try one or all of these products. Derma-E Skin De-Stress Calming CBD Skin Care is an Ulta Beauty exclusive.
